BASA Industry Lunch 2019

Incorporating a BASA Open Industry Forum and the 36th BASA Annual General Meeting

Jaguar Experience - Castle Bromwich, Thursday 28 March 2019

BASA is ringing the changes in 2019 by changing the format for the Annual Industry Lunch in anticipation of a momentous year for the U.K. with the planned EU exit. In 2019 we are holding a combined Open Industry Forum with our Industry Lunch to double the reasons to attend. We will be thrilling BASA members and their guests with the prestige of an iconic British brand in Jaguar Landrover’s world-class conference facilities.

Our day will start with a BASA Open Industry Forum with speakers from industry and business and a networking and poster breakout session held in the spectacular Jaguar Landrover theatre. We hope to have a government official to talk to members about the latest on Brexit and have one confirmed speaker to present on the future of sustainable adhesive bonding in the automotive sector, with two further speakers to be confirmed shortly. We will then hold the Annual General Meeting and attendance for the 36th AGM is free for BASA members to attend, and any guests of members are invited to move back to the sweeping contemporary open reception space where as soon as the AGM is completed we will serve a fantastic three course lunch with wine and all drinks included in the glass fronted reception area.

The Industry Lunch is then further enhanced with a bespoke BASA Manufacturing Tour in place of the after-lunch speaker. What does it take to bring to life some of the most technologically advanced cars in the world? See 'Behind the Roar' at Jaguar Castle Bromwich and discover how the manufacturing operations have developed from building Spitfire aeroplanes in the 1940s, to iconic Jaguar motor cars. You will also get access to many areas of the facility that have  now been opened to the public.

We are also looking for BASA members who would like to lend their name to the event in the form of sponsorship, to support the work of the Association. We have opportunities for member companies to contribute a modest sponsorship to help promote the work of the Association and allow us to support members throughout 2019. Sponsorship includes two tickets to the Industry Lunch and sponsors will be invited to submit a free advert in the BASA bulletin that will be available on the day and subsequently distributed to all members. Sponsors may provide pop up posters or content for the breakout poster sessions during the event and are also invited to submit articles for the newsletters and updates during 2019.

Tickets are offered at a lower price this year to encourage members to join us on the day and benefit from this excellent and informative networking opportunity, so, we hope to see many of you in Castle  Bromwich for what should be a superb opportunity to relax and network with colleagues.
